According to the sources, the incident occurred when Reese was out for a jog, and a 84-year-old female driver, who failed to yield at a pedestrian crosswalk, struck her. A rep confirmed that Witherspoon will not be pressing charges against the woman.
After the accident, Witherspoon was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance but the actress was not seriously injured and was “resting comfortably at home” according to her report.
